Pouring Vessels...

Getting inspired with Pouring Vessels.. just finished a class with "Lou Raye Nichols" . We learned so many new techniques.  The best part was watching her work. Her hands moved so gracefully over the clay.
The glazes are "Iron Red" fired to cone 6... the other is a mix of Shelley Blue and Metalic Green
Enjoy.

Early Spring?

January 10, 2012 I unloaded a kiln of my favorite dot bowls. Can't stop making them. They are small, quiet and full of potential. The little dot bowls I call my
"one blue berry bowl" . There is always that perfect blueberry that is waiting to be served. Cheers!

Glazes used:
Lime Green, Bloom Blossom, Fuchsia, Wheat

Garden Angels

Garden Angels... so simple and clean... they made it thru Hurricane Irene...

Studio

The carport.... yes This is where I create, make and fire all the pottery. It consists of a worktable, slabroller, kiln, drying and storage cabinet. The seasons dictate when I can work. Timing is everything. Spring and Fall is the best time to work outside. Summer months it is to hot and then the clay melts. In the winter the clay can freeze, plus when you work with cold clay your fingers become icickles.
