A busy morning
Today my goal was to follow up on what I had left behind before going on vacation. Clay never waits on you. It does what it wants. I extruded 34 mugs I used 50lbs of clay. I wrapped them up tight with some wet paper towels. Now it has been two weeks since I made them. I am in luck. They all are leather hard, perfect time to trim, add impressions and clean the lip. It took me at least 4 hours to do this. But it is done. Now I will let them dry some more. After a few days, I have to do the final cleaning remove all the little marks, clean the bottom and the inside. I had one mug that is now a tea light holder.

The carport.... yes This is where I create, make and fire all the pottery. It consists of a worktable, slabroller, kiln, drying and storage cabinet. The seasons dictate when I can work. Timing is everything. Spring and Fall is the best time to work outside. Summer months it is to hot and then the clay melts. In the winter the clay can freeze, plus when you work with cold clay your fingers become icickles.
