NC State Fair 2nd place winner!!! Did it Again!!!

NC State Fair 2012 2nd Place Ribbon... Hobby & Craft Professional level- slab formed ceramics.

I did it again. I have all my past years ribbons draped over a picture frame in my workroom.. Wow! I am really proud of my work and it is showing. Best of all it is so much fun to share this with everyone.
You can come bye and see the Buddies at the Scandinavian Christmas Fair on Saturday, December 1st
10-5pm at the www.scanfair.org .  location: State Fair Grounds, Houlshouser building (round building near the gardens).  See you there for great food, dancing, Lucia parade and more.

Studio

The carport.... yes This is where I create, make and fire all the pottery. It consists of a worktable, slabroller, kiln, drying and storage cabinet. The seasons dictate when I can work. Timing is everything. Spring and Fall is the best time to work outside. Summer months it is to hot and then the clay melts. In the winter the clay can freeze,plus when you work with cold clay your fingers become icickles.
